The Prevent Agenda is part of the government’s counter terrorism strategy. The goal of Prevent is to stop people from becoming, or supporting terrorists. All Further Education providers have a duty to safeguard their students and apprentices.
The college sees this as an integral part of its safeguarding commitment, all staff, students and apprentices are trained to be aware of the concerns around radicalisation and extremism and know how to spot signs that this may be happening and report their concerns effectively.
The college is committed to creating a culture where British Values are promoted and practiced in all aspect of college life. Those values are:
- Rule of Law
- Mutual Respect and Tolerance
- Individual Liberty
