We strongly believe that the time young people spend with us must fully prepare them for employment or progression to Higher Education; to do this we ensure that all students develop:
- An understanding of the world of work
- The technical and communication skills needed to succeed in the workplace or Higher Education
- The ability to solve problems and work analytically
- Self-management and teamwork skills.
Our students have access to industry-standard resources and many of our staff are dual professionals – combining their role at the College while working successfully within
their chosen industries.
Our study programmes have been developed to meet priority areas of employment and sectors with high volumes of vacancies in Essex and the South East. This places the College as a significant contributor to the economy in the region.
Work & Study
We actively encourage students to take up part-time work, especially when it compliments their study programme. Our Careers Advice & Guidance Team can support students to find appropriate work and throughout the year promote suitable vacancies from employers.
We ask students to remember that they must leave enough time to complete course
work outside of College hours.
