The girls had an early start on Saturday 27 January as they had five group games to play in the Under 19s competition.

After a very successful day and finishing at the top of their group the girls went on to win the final against St Albans 12-7 making them the champions.

This will now allow the team to compete in the National Final on Saturday 17 March at Stanborough School.

Georgia Sasse, 17, who is studying BTEC Level 3 Sports & Exercise Science and plays in the Netball Academy, said: “The whole tournament was such a great experience and to actually win it felt incredible!

“I cannot wait for the final and have the chance to come up against teams we have never played before.”

As well as this competition the girls are currently second in the Aoc Premier League and are in the Quarter Finals of the National Cup.

Jadie Kent, Head Netball Coach, said: “I am so proud of the girl’s achievements this year.

“We have only lost one game all season which is an achievement in itself let alone winning two regional competitions, qualifying for three national competitions and currently, being placed second in the League on goal difference.

“The hard work and the energy in the team this year is excellent and the girls are willing to work hard for themselves and each other.

“We have so much talent in the squad and everyone is playing their part.”
