Friday, 01 December 2017
Business students have been working hard to organise events in order to support local and national charities.
Students who are currently studying either the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business or BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Business have been working with their peers to organise events in order to raise money for charity.
So far students have arranged a variety events including, Curry nights, Quiz nights, Doughnut eating challenges and a Christmas Market.
Each group of students have chosen their own charity to raise money for and collectively have raised £1,700 amount for the following organisations Macmillian, Cancer Research, and The Ehlers-Danlos Support.
Students will also be completing events throughout December in order to raise as much money as possible.
Arranging these events not only helps local charities but helps the students to complete their course by learning new skills as well as completing a unit on their course.
