Hadleigh Rotary bring Christmas Extravaganza at Seevic College
Tuesday, 14 November 2017
Families are invited to a Christmas extravaganza held at Seevic College this December.
Members of The Rotary Club of Hadleigh Castle have been working with students at the college in Runnymede Chase, Benfleet, to create an exciting festive event.
Held on Saturday 2 December from 11am until 3.30pm, there will be a host of stalls, competitions, games, and even a Santa’s Grotto.
Sandra Allen, from The Rotary Club of Hadleigh Castle, said: “We are so proud to be working with students from Seevic College. Their input has helped develop this family day.
“Look out for posters, boards outside houses and banners which have all been designed by Seevic students.”
As well as Santa himself, there will be craft stalls from local artists and stalls selling toys, scarves, belts, jewellery, clothes, books, and bags.
There will be games, tombola, raffle, face painting and temporary tattoos as well as make up demonstrations.
A pop-up café will be selling speciality sausages in ciabatta rolls, mince pies and hot mulled wine. And get ready for Christmas Eve by picking up some reindeer food to leave out for Rudolph and friends.
Dan Pearson, Principal and CEO of Seevic College, added: “Students from our college company, Live Creative, have been hard at work creating Santa’s Grotto, designing and decorating our college ready for the event.
“The students are using skills they will need to work as visual and graphic designers, photographers, bloggers and film makers to create and document this exciting community event.”
Live Creative consists of students from Seevic College’s Creative Arts department.
These students are able to help organisations in a variety of different ways - from animation and branding, to film production and 3D digital modelling.
Entrance to the event is £1 for adults and admission for children is free. Santa’s Grotto costs £3 per child and every visitor will be given a present. There is free parking on site.
