Seevic Storm dominate first game of the season

170919-footballSeevic College Women’s Football Academy starts of the season in style with a 7-2 win against Easton College.

The Women’s Football Academy play in the Cat 1 Premier League and are hoping that this first game will represent the success ahead of them this season.

The Women’s Football second team also beat opponents Thurstable College 2-0 in a friendly. With both teams playing on adjacent pitches it was celebrations all round as the final whistles were blown.

As well as the Women’s Football the Men’s Rugby Academy also had a successful day beating Robert Clack School 14-12 in the first round of the NatWest Vase.

Craig Davidson Head of Sport said: “It was a great start to the season for the Seevic Storm Women’s Football Academy.

“Women’s Football is really taking off here at Seevic, the programme has grown to over 30 girls now and it was great to see so many of them out there on the pitch yesterday enjoying their football.

“Overall yesterday was a great day and we look forward to another year of competitive sport.”

Seevic College offers a wide range of sports to all students and helps to support the student athletes both in their studies and their sport.

Seevic Storm have teams events in Football (male and female), Rugby (male and female), Basketball (male and female) and Netball as well as supporting all individual athletes.

Seevic Storm’s aim it to help everyone  reach their full potential and prepare them for their future career.
