100% satisfaction at Seevic College
Wednesday, 09 August 2017
Seevic College is one of just 10 colleges in England to achieve 100% satisfaction for the quality of its Higher Education courses in this year’s National Student Survey.
Out of a total of 530 universities and colleges taking part, students from only 30 institutions including Seevic were fully satisfied with their course – 16% above the national average.
Published annually by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), this year’s survey was completed by more than 300,000 Higher Education students.
The survey gives students the chance to provide honest feedback on what it is like to study at their institution.
As well as receiving 100% satisfaction, students at Seevic College gave top marks for its intellectually stimulating courses that challenge them to achieve their best work. All students also feel staff value their views and opinions about the course.
In 2016, just four colleges obtained 100% satisfaction - the improvement being great news for students who favour a more local and cheaper option.
Working in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire, Writtle University College and Docklands Academy, Seevic College provides an alternative to university, bringing Higher Education courses closer to home with lower tuition fees.
The college, based in Runnymede Chase, Benfleet, also benefits from small class sizes, providing its students with more individual tuition and advanced support.
Dan Pearson, Principal & CEO of Seevic College, said: “Higher Education at Seevic gives our students excellent value for money with competitive fees, whilst ensuring our teaching and support is second to none.
“We are very proud of the results published.”
Seevic College offers Higher Education courses in Applied Biology, Art & Design, Computing, Creative Digital Media, Education & Early Years, Public Services and Sport & Exercise Performance.
