Seevic Storm Rugby aim for hat-trick

The Seevic Storm Rugby Academy have been training throughout the Easter break to prepare for an exciting term ahead of them.
The team have three major competitions over the next four weeks so training is vital.
The first competition is the AoC National Championships which will be held at Nottingham University from Friday 21 April – Sunday 23 April. The boys will compete with 10 regional champions across Britain in the 7s tournament where they took the silver last year.
The second is the Essex Cup Final against The Coopers’ Company and Coborn School at Barking and Dagenham Rugby Club on Wednesday 3 May.
The last is the AoC National Premier League Play-Off finals against Coleg y Cymoedd at Moseley RFU in Birmingham on Wednesday 10 May. The rugby boys saw of Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate 46-31 in the Semi-Finals.
The semi-finals were a tough game where Seevic were 6-0 down in the first half. Danny Cleare, Director of Rugby, said: “The boys showed great effort in the second half to bring back the win. They were a very skilful and lively team but the boys worked hard in defence and it paid off.”
This will be Seevic’s third national final in three years and Cleare added: “It is a great achievement to have a strong record of getting to the finals but now we need to secure the win.
“The boys have been training throughout the holidays ensuring that we keep up the standard of rugby which we have been demonstrating throughout the season.”
By being part of the Seevic Storm Rugby Academy you are entitled to three training seasons per week, one match game and personal strength and conditioning sessions.
