Local families brave the rain to get creative

Family -learningDespite the recent bad weather, families from across Essex have been getting involved in outdoor crafts at Growing Together Westcliff, as part of an exciting partnership between Seevic College and Trust Links.

Kick-starting their Summer holidays, both children and their parents got hands-on with creative arts whilst exploring the great outdoors.

From building imaginative dens in the wildlife area to using items from the garden to create collages, the families got well and truly stuck into the free activity.

A parent taking part in the event said: “It was a jam-packed day.  The kids were thoroughly entertained with the range of activities.”

Seevic College, located in Runnymede Chase, Benfleet, will be continuing to host a wide range of community events throughout the Summer, together with Trust Links and local organisation Family Lives, to bring together people of different ages and backgrounds to pursue an interest, learn a new skill and make new friends.
