Creative Arts students capture Seevic College during annual Summer Exhibition
Tuesday, 09 June 2015
Near to 1,000 visitors descended on Seevic College, located at Runnymede Chase, Benfleet, last Thursday 4 June for its annual Creative Arts Summer Exhibition.
With around 250 students showcasing their work to the community, fellow students, friends, families and creative professionals attended the event to celebrate their success.
The College’s students not only exhibited their work on the evening, but funds raised from a previous auction of their work supported the resources at the event.
Tad Blower, Programme Area Manager for Creative Arts at Seevic College said: “I was overwhelmed by the amazing turnout from the community. The show saw around 250 students exhibiting work, which included contemporary and cutting edge pieces – we even received bids from the public for some.
“Resources at the event including exhibit catalogues were funded by money raised at a previous auction of students’ work.
"It was encouraging to see so many local industry professionals come along.”
Taking full advantage of the College’s recent studio redevelopment and specialist resources, its students are encouraged to produce ambitious and well-executed creative works throughout their studies.
Offering a broad range of A-Levels, Level 3 BTECs, Foundation Diplomas and Higher National Diplomas in Creative Arts, Seevic College continues to produce talented graduates in this area.
The College is holding an Open Evening on Tuesday 7 July 2015, 5.30 – 8pm. To find out more and to pre-book a place visit www.seevic-college.ac.uk
