Seevic College has successfully achieved reaccreditation of its Matrix Standard – the national quality standard for information, advice and guidance services.
An assessor from Matrix visited the College’s Student Services and Business Solutions teams in the week commencing Tuesday 28 May.
And, following the visit, the College received impressive feedback on its communication with students, use of social media, and the approachability of new Principal Nick Spenceley.
Reacting to the news, Head of Student Services Karen James said: “I’m delighted that the outstanding contribution of support staff at the College has been recognised by the College successfully achieving this quality standard.
“We firmly believe that student support and wellbeing is central to achieving positive outcomes." Head of Student Services, Karen James
“We firmly believe that student support and wellbeing is central to students achieving positive outcomes. This accreditation is a positive reflection on the continuous quality improvement that takes place at the College.”
Students at Seevic College have access to a range of support services including financial support, wellbeing support, emergency counselling, careers guidance and sexual health advice.
The Matrix Standard is the unique quality standard for organisations to assess and measure their advice and support services, which ultimately supports individuals in their choice of career.
It is made up of four elements – Leadership & Management, Resources, Service Delivery and Continuous Quality Improvement.
The College’s Matrix accreditation lasts for three years. Annual monitoring visits will also take place during that time.
