A lecturer at Seevic College has completed two marathons in two weeks to raise over £1,000 for charity. Blake Matthews, 28, who teaches A-Level Sociology at the College, successfully completed the London Marathon on Sunday 13 April. And, just 14 days later after running his first ever marathon in the capital, Blake flew to Spain to complete the Madrid Marathon on Sunday 27 April.

A charity shop in Rayleigh High Street is hoping that a series of themed window-dressings by students at Seevic College will help raise its profile in the local community. Students studying Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Visual Design at the College launched their first window display – with a theme of vintage fashion – at The Phab Shop on Wednesday 23 April.

Berlin trip takes History students’ breath awayView article

A recent trip to Berlin brought History to life for sixteen A-Level students at Seevic College. The students, who all study A-Level History at the College, visited famous landmarks including the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate and Checkpoint Charlie during the three-day visit from 11-14 March.
