Employer Success Stories

ApprenticeshipWith students across the college carrying out work experience and other activities to build their employability skills, many employers have been impressed with their work ethic.

"We are delighted to be working in partnership with Seevic College, providing a number of student placements for students studying childcare.

"We usually work with six placement students who work within our Ofsted outstanding day nursery settings. Many of the students have joined us on a permanent basis after completing their course, and we always find both the college and students a pleasure to work with."

Pippa Drew, HR Director, Seymour House Day Nursery Schools

"I was really impressed with your students' diligence, speed of work and the effectiveness with which they were able to deliver on the tasks that were set.

"They were able to identify required improvements for the website, solutions and then, because they had no password access to the website, were able to recreate it on a third party platform with the suggested changes. They did all of this in a few days, and were always fast to respond to emails or requests."

Stephen Neale, www.wildesssex.com

"I would just like to say how happy I am with Seevic College's Student Carrie-Anne whilst she has been working with me for work experience over this week so far. She has been productive and done everything I have set her up to do, even before the time limit.

"She is currently working on a blog which I have set her to do as a project, which she will write the content for and finalise on her last day with me. So far the work she has done is extraordinary and she has shown so much passion. I am extremely happy with her work."

Karlee Rose Mae, Business owner

"Each year, we happily receive 6 or 7 placement students from Seevic. They are placed in KS1 and EYFS classes and are an invaluable addition to the staff team. Many of them have continued to come on a voluntary basis after they have left college, before gaining employment. We always find them to be well prepared for life in the school setting with a good understanding of issues such as safeguarding, supporting the needs of individuals and working with parents."

Emma Dawson, Headteacher, Thundersley Primary School

"We have been working alongside the college for many terms now and have built a fantastic relationship with both tutors and students. The students have come to the setting well prepared and well mannered.

Working with the college and students has been a pleasure and we look forward to continue this professional relationship."

Miss F Benedetti, Nursery Manager, Twizzle Tops Day Nursery

"We have always found all of the [Seevic] team to be approachable and very well organised. The students have a good understanding of what is expected of them and how they should conduct themselves while with us."

Deborah Potts, Little Footprints Day Nursery
