Emma moved to Seevic from Castle View School in order to progress her passion in childcare. Having gained a Distinction in Level 3 BTEC Child Care Learning and Development in June 2015, the future's looking bright with a job at Basildon Hospital.
Why did you first decide to come to Seevic?
I first decided to go to Seevic because it was more local and my friends were also going to this College. When I looked around Seevic I had already made my mind up that it was the right choice because it seemed more welcoming than other colleges.
What have you most enjoyed about your course here and why?
I have most enjoyed making friends that I have for life and also spending time with my tutors Karen and Denise who have both helped me through my course.
What have you enjoyed most about College life?
The social life and getting on with my work as it was always interesting.
How has life at Seevic been different to school?
You are treated as an adult and no longer like a child at College, and the Tutors are always so open about going to them if you have any problems. It's like adult to adult.
How have your Tutors helped to support your success?
Through tough times I faced during the course I always knew that Karen and Denise would help me through it and would keep feeding me with encouragement to get through the course and get my final grade of a Distinction.
What are your ambitions for the future?
Since working within many different placements I found out that I wanted to work with young children and babies so with this I managed to secure a job at Basildon Hospital - Seymour House where I am now working full time.
What advice would you offer to someone thinking of studying at Seevic?
To go for it! All around the College there are many staff and adults offering help and support along with all of the variety of different courses that are available to do. Friends for life will be made!
