Entrepreneur Scott Taylor has started a business selling virtual reality headsets after successfully completing his A-Levels at Seevic.
Studying IT, media and accountancy has given him the skills he needs to launch his own company, Go Virtual, which imports and sells the headsets and he is also exhibiting at the Ideal Home Show.
Former Deanes School pupil Scott said he has put the skills he learned while at Seevic to good use in starting up his company.
He said: “The accountancy was really helpful.
“I chose to come to Seevic after I visited with my parents. It felt big but they look after individual students – it felt like you were part of something.”
Scott, 32, and from Rayleigh, said his business launch has been helped by a network of friends and contacts he made while studying at Seevic.
He added: “I bump into people now that I have known since college. There is an academic aspect but it also helps you to network and make connections.”
