After studying at The Cornelius Vermuyden School, Lauren joined us to study A-Levels in Business Studies, Music Technology, Extended Project Qualification and Government & Politics. Lauren is currently studying Music & Industry Management at the University of Hertfordshire.
Having left college in 2016 with an A* in Government & Politics, Lauren recently returned back to Seevic to talk to those studying the first year of the course on how to prepare for A2; discussing exam and revision techniques, and the step up between each year.
"I chose Seevic College as it offered all of the A-Levels that I wanted to do. Government & Politics especially helped me with the knowledge required during my work placement, where I shadowed someone in the music indsutry who had a political role.
"I made some valuable friendships at Seevic, and the tutors that I had were brilliant - they were really interested in my future.
"The workload at college really prepared me for university as it was an increased workload from school, but it has definitely made the transition easier.
"My advice to anyone coming to Seevic would be to pick the subjects you are truly interested in - there is a lot of extra reading required to get the best grade possible, so don't just pick those that sound good!
"My goal is to become an Artist Manager in the music industry. I would love to mix Government & Politics and Music, so fingers crossed!"
