Supported Internship Job Coach
Full Time/Part Time Hours - Permanent Contract X 52 Weeks
£21,866 per annum (pro rata for part time hours)
This is an ideal opportunity for a flexible and effective communicator to work within the Foundation Learning Team supporting students with learning difficulties and disabilities in the work place.
You will have experience of working with students with learning disabilities in assisting them to work independently within paid or unpaid employment. You will also work closely with employers to assist with adaption of safe working environments and promoting health and safety awareness in the work place.
The position will also involve interviewing prospective students, matching and placing them with prospective employers. You will assist the Supported Internship Manager in liaising with employers, agencies and parents, as well as carrying out regular assessments with students to embed action planning into their training and development.
A flexible team member as well as an understanding of the challenges faced by young people and of the barriers to learning are essential. You will be qualified to at least grade C or above in Maths and English, good IT and organisation skills and a positive and customer orientated approach. You will be required to travel and must be in possession of a full driving licence and have use of your own car.
