Every Child Matters

At Seevic College, we believe in supporting the development of each learner through the five themes of the Government’s Every Child Matters initiative: Be Healthy, Stay Safe, Enjoy and Achieve, Make a Positive Contribution, and Achieve conomic Wellbeing. We deliver this in a variety of ways, including through our tutorial programme, themed weeks such as Anti-bullying Week and Health & Safety Week, and talks from external speakers.

Our students tell us they feel safe, and we recognise that staff and students have an important role to play in safeguarding the welfare of others. Our staff recruitment involves safety checks to protect our students. And we work closely with local agencies such as Social Services if concerns are raised about a student. We have a comprehensive policy to ensure that student welfare is always our first priority. If you would like to see a copy of this policy please contact Student Services on 01268 756 111 or email info@seevic-college.ac.uk

We are committed to the Government’s Change 4 Life agenda and are working towards achieving Healthy College Status. As well as healthy food options, we encourage wellbeing by providing counselling services and advice and support through our Health and Welfare Advisor.
