Every Child Matters
At SEEVIC College, we believe in supporting the development of each individual learner through the 5 themes of Every Child Matters; Be Healthy, Stay Safe, Enjoy and Achieve, Make a Positive Contribution and Achieve Economic Wellbeing. This is delivered in a variety of ways including activities in the tutorial programme, themed weeks, such as Anti-bullying Week and Health and Safety Week, and talks from external speakers.
Learners tell us they feel safe, and the College recognises that staff and learners have an important role to play in safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, preventing their abuse. We are committed to safer recruitment and work closely with local agencies such as Social Services when concerns are raised about a student. We have produced a comprehensive policy to ensure that the welfare of the child is always our first priority. If you would like to see a copy of the Child Protection and Safeguarding policy please contact Student Services on 01268 756 111 or email info@seevic-college.ac.uk
We continue our commitment to the Government's Change 4 Life agenda with its ongoing work towards Healthy College Status. As well as healthy food options, we encourage wellbeing by providing counselling services and advice and support from the Health and Welfare Advisor.
