Choosing the right career path after leaving SEEVIC College is one of the most significant decisions students will ever make. The College recognises this and has set up a dedicated Careers Centre located on the first floor of the West Building so that students have easy access to career resources at all times.

Whether students intend to progress into Higher Education or find employment after SEEVIC College, the fully qualified careers team are on hand to offer expert support, advice and guidance.

Help with career planning is offered on a continuous basis through the extensive tutorial system. As well as an up-to-date conventional careers library, the Careers Centre contains specialist sections on Higher Education, employment and training.

There are three purpose-built interview rooms available for confidential discussion with students. The Centre’s extensive information technology resources allow students to easily access information on a wide range of career-related topics, from suggestions on which Higher Education course to follow, to instructions on how to produce an effective CV.

Students are made aware of outside careers events which may interest them, and every year a large contingent of students visit the Higher Education Superfair, where they can gather information on a vast range of Higher Education opportunities.

Visiting speakers are also invited to SEEVIC College to inform students about both employment and Higher Education opportunities.

The College runs a Job Shop, where students can go at any time to register, to be sent details of vacancies for employment at the end of their course, or part-time/holiday vacancies which they can fit around their studies.

SEEVIC College has recently been awarded the prestigious Recognition of Quality Award for Careers Education and Guidance for students, for the fourth time.

The Careers Centre, together with Admissions has also received accreditation against the Matrix quality standard for its Information, Advice and Guidance Service.
