Level 3 BTEC Business student Holly Hooper, 18, said: “I had the best time ever, it was a great opportunity that opened my eyes to many different opportunities around the world.”

“I have a strong passion for Marketing and Times Square was just incredible, I would love the chance to one day work in New York to get a feel for the life as a City Worker.”

Level 3 BTEC Business Tutor John Hallam said: “I was really shocked with the amount of students that would now like the opportunity to work in the city both in London and New York. It is great to see how passionate some of them now are about their future careers.”

Not many students will have the opportunity to travel to New York so this is really a great chance for students to see a different part of the world.

Student Reagan Edwards, 18, who also studies Level 3 BTEC Business said: “The Empire State building was absolutely breath taking and I am so grateful that I was given the chance to go and see such an amazing city.”

Reagan added: “Another favourite of mine was visiting the 9/11memorial ground; you felt the impact in which it would have had on those living and working in New York at the time. It was brilliant to learn about the whole history of the city including the 9/11 attacks.”

Holly also said: “Overall it was a really interesting trip, I would recommend it to anyone who is given the opportunity. It really opens your mind to future plans that you would never have considered before.”

John added: “It was great enrichment for the students as well as it being excellent opportunity for the students to be exposed to new cultures.”
