Seevic Counsellor has number one hair cut for breast cancer
Tuesday, 20 October 2015
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in order to support this worthy charity Lorna Jones, Seevic Colleges Counsellor, has shaved her head to a number one.
Lorna has raised a huge amount of approximately £1000 for Breast Cancer Care. Lorna said: “Breast cancer really touched me closely this year and I wanted to show my support.”
Lorna’s donation will go to the Breast Cancer awareness fund. All funds raised throughout October provide specialist nurses, local services and vital emotional support network for free to those who need it.
Lorna said: “Ladies do not get a choice to lose their hair whilst undergoing treatment so in my respect I am choosing to lose mine”. Lorna raised the charity cash through donations from staff and students at Seevic College, located at Runnymede Chase, Benfleet, along with other members of Burstead Golf Club, Billericay.
Lorna is a qualified counsellor who offers free and impartial advice to students at their time in need
