Art Auction at Seevic
Tuesday, 02 December 2014
Students taking the Art Foundation Diploma at Seevic College are putting some of their artworks up for auction at 7pm on Wednesday 3 December 2014.
A range of works will be available for bidding on the night, including decorative and functional pieces – as well as many that are both. Customised upcycled tables, chairs and lamps are among the furnishings on offer, alongside all sorts of spectacular statement pieces.
Collectors can view the items in exhibition from 4pm on Wednesday afternoon, to ensure that every patron of the arts present can bid with perfect confidence.
All proceeds raised will go towards securing an external venue for the Creative Arts Final Show, which takes place annually during the summer months, and gives over 400 students the chance to exhibit their work.
It is hoped that holding the event at an external venue will allow the Arts Show to reach a new and more varied audience, providing even greater exposure for the consistently fantastic efforts of Creative Arts students at Seevic College.
Head of Creative Arts at Seevic College, Tad Blower, said: “We’re hoping to take the show to Brick Lane, so we need to raise around £2,500 from sales at the auction. We have more than 40 students contributing, and the starting bid is just £5 for every item.”
The Seevic Art Auction is offering bargain hunters an unprecedented opportunity to bag an exclusive and original item, as well as the chance to secure some incredibly unique gifts this holiday season.
Admission to the event is free, but artworks are not. For more information about the Seevic Art Auction, you can call 01268 756 111 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
