New degree in Education Studies & Early Years degree to launch from September 2014

New -degree -in -Education -Studies -&-Early -Years -degree -to -launch -from -September 2014Seevic College is pleased to announce the launch a new Higher Education qualification in Education Studies & Early Years, from September 2014.

The BA (Hons) Education Studies & Early Years – top up year, validated by University of Hertfordshire, will enable Early Years practitioners who have already achieved a Foundation Degree to top up their qualification to a full BA (Honours) degree.

The course will be studied one-day per week over a year. Modules of study include: Psychology for Education, Positive Relationships in Early Years, Creative Practice in Early Years and an individual research project.

This qualification is a fantastic opportunity for holders of a Foundation Degree in Early Years to achieve a full BA (Honours) degree.”

Programme Leader for Higher Education in Early Years at Seevic College, Jan Burton, added: “This qualification, in combination with the College’s existing Foundation Degree in Early Years, provides people in the local area with a real opportunity to embrace lifelong learning. It will create a highly-skilled Early Years workforce within the local community.”

The BA (Hons) Education Studies & Early Years – top up year is eligible for student finance.

The top up year is open to anyone who has previously studied a Foundation Degree in Early Years at any institution. Individuals interested in applying should ring 01268 756 111 or email info@seevic-college.ac.uk

Seevic College has worked in partnership with University of Hertfordshire to offer Early Years Higher Education qualifications since 2008. In 2012-13, the College’s HE provision achieved a 96% satisfaction rating by students on national website unistats.direct.gov.uk

The College’s next Open Evening takes place on Tuesday 26 November 2013, 5.30 – 8pm.
