Early Years Foundation Degree
Validated by University of Hertfordshire
Charley Buck, 20, from Canvey Island, is a Learning Support Assistant at Jotmans Hall Primary School in Benfleet.
Charley initially enrolled at Seevic College as a 16-year-old studying BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Childcare. He graduated with Distinction from the Foundation Degree programme in 2015.
"I would recommend this course because you can work full time, enabling you to start a meaningful career while achieving a degree at the same time. Being able to live at home rather than moving miles away is helpful too!
"There's nothing else similar locally"
"I'm now going to study the BA Honours Top Up at Seevic, and then hope to begin teaching at the school I have been working at for the last two years. My ultimate aim is to become a Headteacher.
"It feels fantastic to have graduated from the Foundation Degree, although I have another year of studying ahead of me now. My advice to anyone thinking of studying this course is: Do it! There's nothing else similar locally."
