Validated by University of Hertfordshire.

Anne May, 46, from Rayleigh, is Manager of Grove Road Pre School in Rayleigh. She graduated from the BA Honours programme with first class Honours in 2015.

Her ambition for the future is to provide early years one-to-one support to young people with additional needs.

Anne says:

"I never thought I would have a degree, I thought I was too old. To be able to study a full BA Honours close to come, while carrying on more less with my normal life, has been invaluable.

"Don't doubt yourself, you can do it!"

"I first studied the Foundation Degree in 2011 and then returned to complete the full degree. What I have most enjoyed about studying is the people. The teachers have been inspiring. And I've also found out a lot about myself, and learned how to cope with stress."

"How does it feel now I have graduated? Oh my god, it’s amazing! My advice to anyone else would be: don't doubt yourself, you can do it!"
