Level 2, Apprenticeship
Duration: 13 Month Course
Start Date: Rolling starts throughout the year.
Get to grips with the role of computers, and how best you can provide support to people working in an ICT systems support role.
Resolving IT issues in the ever changing world of technology, you'll learn the skills and knowledge needed to undertake a role within supervised ICT systems support, such as a Systems Technician or a Network Technician.
- Level 2 Diploma for IT Users
- Level 2 Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
- Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
- Employer Rights and Responsibilities.
Within the workplace, you will also have the opportunity to learn the following:
- Customer Support Provision for the ICT Professional.
A variety of optional units will be chosen with the employer, apprentice and training provider with opportunities to practice these in the workplace.
How Will I Be Taught and Assessed?
Alongside attending College one day per week, you'll also be assessed within your workplace through review and building of a portfolio of evidence. As well as this, you'll complete a technical certificate.

What Could I Do Next?
Following your Apprenticeship, you would be able to move on to a Level 3 ICT qualification or full-time employment in the industry.
General Entry Requirements
Grades A/8-D/3 in English, Maths and ICT.*
*If candidates do not have the required grades in one of the above subjects, they may be able to take them at Functional Skills level alongside the Apprenticeship.
