What will I do?
The CTLLS Award is comprised of four units: Preparation to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector, Planning and Enabling
Learning, Principles and Practice of Assessment and Equality and Diversity.
Entry requirements
An interview is required to join this course. You will need to have 30 hours of teaching practice in an appropriate learning
and skills setting. This could be paid or voluntary, working with groups or in a one to one context. Teachers are expected to have at least a Level 3 qualification in their subject teaching area and will need to show evidence of this or have appropriate experience and be working towards a Level 3 qualification. You should also have English and Maths qualifications at Level 2 or be willing to work towards these qualifications.
Assessment
You will be assessed using a variety of methods including teaching observations, essays and through writing a personal
reflective journal.
Progression
You can progress on to the Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS).
