It is anticipated that you will come to College to access these workshops and on weeks where these specific workshops are not being delivered then your assessor will be available to meet with you to discuss your progress. |

What will I do?
You will be required to complete an individual portfolio of evidence that demonstrates your competence in the workplace and your knowledge and understanding of early years care and education.
Key workshops delivered are likely to include areas such as Child Protection, Health and Safety and other important
areas covered by the NVQ.
Entry requirements
This qualification is suitable for those working in an early years setting who have no formal qualifications.
Assessment
This is predominantly by direct observation by a qualified assessor of the candidate in the workplace and also by the production of a portfolio by the student.
Progression
Successful completion of this course offers a progression pathway to NVQ level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and
Development.
