How to apply

We welcome applications from students throughout South Essex. To apply to Seevic College, fill in our printable 16-19 application form and send it* to:

*Applicants from our partner schools (see below) should give their completed form to their school.

You can also pop into any of the Seevic and NCB sites to speak to one of our student advisers about your application.

Partner Schools

Seevic College works closely with six partner schools to help students choose the right programme of study. Our partner schools are:

  • The Appleton School, Benfleet
  • Castle View School, Canvey Island
  • Cedar Hall School, Thundersley
  • The Cornelius Vermuyden School, Canvey Island
  • The Deanes School, Benfleet
  • The Sweyne Park School, Rayleigh

We guarantee a place for all partner school students, if you apply by the date agreed with your partner school and meet the entry requirements for the courses you choose. If you attend one of these schools, please complete the application form and return it to your school, who will forward it to us.

When we have received your application form, we will send you an acknowledgement letter.


Choosing Your Course

There are a wide variety of courses and programmes to choose from at Seevic College. Please refer to page 14 to help identify the right course for you. Remember to check what general and specific entry requirements are needed for your chosen course. More information on each course we offer can be found on the course pages.

If you have read about all the courses available and are still uncertain about which is best for you, please call our Careers Team on 01268 882 618 to discuss your options. We can also help by talking through your options at our Open Evenings held throughout the year.


How to Complete the Application Form

SECTION A – Courses at either Seevic College or New Campus Basildon

In either the Seevic College or NCB section, choose the course you would like to study making sure that you include the level, qualification and subject.

Please note that you can choose to study AS Level General Studies in addition to your other AS levels or you may choose to study a BTEC Subsidary Diploma alongside your course. This will be discussed at interview and should not be included on your application form.

During your first year you will need to consider your choice of subjects you wish to continue to study in year two.

SECTION B – Essential Skills

Tick the box in Section C if you wish to apply for the Essential Skills programme for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

SECTION C – Soccer Coaching

Open Route into Education (SCORE) Tick the box in Section D if you wish to apply for SCORE in addition to your chosen course.
