Level 3, BTEC Extended Diploma - Two-year course

Campus: Seevic Benfleet and New Campus Basildon

What will I learn?
This course is equivalent to three A Levels and provides a specialist vocational programme of study that covers the key knowledge and some of the practical skills required when working in the Health and Social Care sector.

How will I be taught and assessed?
There are no exams on this programme and all the work is completed by assignments that are set and marked by your tutors throughout the course.

General Entry Requirements
At least 4 GCSEs at grade C or above or a Level 2 BTEC Diploma (or equivalent) in a related area at Merit Level. You will also need to commit to an additional 8-12 hours of study per week.

Specific entry requirements
C or above in GCSE Science (or equivalent). A CRB check will be required.

What could I do next?
The qualification can lead to university to study health based courses. It is also appropriate for further education and training in Radiography, Occupational Therapy and other careers in Health and Social Care.
