Level 2 BTEC Diploma - One-year course

What will I learn?
This is a course aimed at students who know they want to work with children. Students will study a range of areas relating to children. An important part of the course is work experience and students will spend time at a variety of childcare settings.
How will I be taught and assessed?
There are no exams on this programme and all the work is completed by assignments that are set and marked by your tutors throughout the course.
General Entry Requirements
At least two GCSE's at grade D or above or having successfully completed a Foundation Learning course in a related area and achieved Level 1 in English for Functional Skills. You will also need to commit to an additional 10 hours of study per week.
Specific entry requirements
A CRB check will be required
What could I do next?
Completion of this course at a high level will enable you to progress to a Level 3. You may alternatively be able to gain employment within childcare.
