What will I learn?
This course offers an introduction to the health and care sector and is designed for students who are interested in caring for others and working with people. It is suitable for students who want to work in health or social care.
The course includes Functional Skills Literacy and Numeracy. You will complete a diagnostic assessment to ensure you are enrolled on the right level course for you, if you work hard you will have the opportunity to progress to higher levels throughout the year.

How will I be taught and assessed?
There are no exams on this programme and all the work is completed by assignments that are set and marked by your tutors throughout the course.
What could I do next?
This qualification can lead to further study – such as the Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Health & Social Care or possibly an Apprenticeship. Some students choose to go straight into employment or voluntary work and they can consider a wide range of opportunities in the health and social care field.
