What will I learn?
Students on this course will study 12 different units which will include the following:
• Health and Safety in the Engineering Workplace
• Mathematics for Engineering Technicians
• Computer Aided Drafting in Engineering
• Engineering Design
• Electrical and Electronic Principles
• Fabrication Processes and Technology
Specific entry requirements
Four GCSES at C or above, including C or above in GCSE Maths. C or above in English preferred.
How will I be taught and assessed?
Teaching is a mixture of classroom based theory and practical work. All assessment is done by coursework, either written or observed practical work.
What could I do next?
This course is suitable for progression onto a degree or HNC/HND course in Engineering. It is also good for progression onto an Apprenticeship or employment as a trainee technician.
