What will I learn?
This course is a mixture of two separate qualifications. The Business element consists of BTEC Certificate in Business units which cover a broad range of business topics including Business Purposes, People in Organisations. The finance element consists of a Certificate in Accounting from the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians).
Specific entry requirements
Two GCSEs at Grade D or above. However, good Maths and English will be an advantage.
How will I be taught and assessed?
The BTEC Certificate is assessed entirely by a series of internally set and assessed assignments. There are no exams. The AAT Certificate is assessed by externally set exams, usually taken online and project work.
What could I do next?
On completion of this course, you can progress on to a Level 3 course such as the BTEC Extended Diploma in Business or the BTEC Business with Finance. You can also go straight into employment as the AAT Certificate is recognised by employers.
