What will I learn?
Students on this course will learn about the following topics: input, output and storage devices, data validation and verification, health and safety, network environments, human computer interface, modes of processing and different jobs in ICT. In A2 all students undertake a large project which includes aspects of systems lifecycles and project management. Theoretically they will study emerging technologies and future developments, information systems and ICT management and strategies.
How will I be taught and assessed?
Teaching is a mixture of classroom based theory and practical work.
General Entry Requirements
At least 5 GCSE's at grade C or above which must include English Language GCSE.
An average point score of 5.0 calculated from all of your GCSE subjects.
A commitment to an additional 4 hours of study per A Level subject per week.
What could I do next?
ICT complements many programmes at A Level and is good for progression onto many degree courses.
