What will I learn?
The course covers four essential areas: evaluating live productions seen during the course; the analysis of set texts; the study of an influential theatre practitioner and the presentation of group performances. Through the process of devising, rehearsing and performing their own work in created and scripted productions to different audiences, students build an understanding of the different elements of theatre.

How will I be taught and assessed?
Students will have the opportunity to engage in practical workshops and perform their own work. Students will also explore the theory side of plays and practitioners.

Specific entry requirements
There will be an audition you will need to attend.

General Entry Requirements
At least 5 GCSE's at grade C or above which must include English Language GCSE.
An average point score of 5.0 calculated from all of your GCSE subjects.
A commitment to an additional 4 hours of study per A Level subject per week.

What could I do next?
Students may choose to progress to study at degree level or at a drama college to train as an actor or in the Performing Arts sector.
