These Level 1 courses are ideal for students who are not yet ready to study at Level 2 (BTEC First Diplomas or GCSEs). It provides a recognised and valuable qualification that enhances job prospects or prepares students for a further programme of study at SEEVIC College.
Our Essential Skills programme aims to enable students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities to progress through a series of one-year modules into opportunities in Further Education, training and employment. Students will usually stay with the College for three years.

Essential Skills Programme
An Apprenticeship is a high quality work based learning programme that has been developed to work alongside employment giving you an opportunity to improve your knowledge and skills and ultimately your career prospects, whilst earning a salary.
An Apprenticeship allows you to gain new skills, industry recognised qualifications and a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ).
For most Apprenticeship programmes you will need to be in paid employment for a minimum of 16 hours a week once you start the course. However, if you don't have a job SEEVIC College can help you to secure relevant employment linked to your Apprenticeship.
