This lively, student-run group represents the needs and concerns of all our students.

It meets once a month to discuss ideas, suggestions and complaints, which lead to recommendations for the College’s senior management. The association also uses its own funds to support groups and individual students in extracurricular activities.

The association organises a number of fun activities and events for students. For example, during the last week of every autumn term it raises money for charity through events such as karaoke, fancy dress, special performances and College versions of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and ‘Man Oh Man’. Over the years these activities have raised tens of thousands of pounds for a variety of local and national charities.

This society meets regularly at lunchtime, in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. It offers people on different courses the opportunity to meet and discuss all kinds of topics chosen by students – from the serious to the not so serious. Twice a term, teams of two debate against each other in front of an audience, who also participate enthusiastically.

All you need to join the Seevic Youth Theatre is a genuine interest and a commitment to participate – past experience is not necessary and there is no entrance audition. The group meets at least one evening a week during term time in our purpose-built theatre. Members learn theatrical techniques, which they practice through script-based work and improvisation. This helps to build acting skills and a deeper understanding of the theatre. Members can choose to take LAMDA exams in performance skills, if they want.

Gifted & Talented

As part of our commitment to personalised learning at Seevic College, we aim to provide a learning experience tailored to the needs and abilities of our students and recognise that some students need to be stretched and challenged to build on their individual talents and strengths.
