Students Raise Money For Children In Need
Students from Seevic College, Benfleet Campus & New Campus Basildon, have raised an impressive £814.95 for Children In Need through various fundraising events held at the College.
Events organised by Level 2 BTEC Business students, who raised £765 included a chocolate fountain with marshmallows and fruit, luxury hot chocolates, and a wide range of chocolates, sweets and drinks. There were even cream pies and sponge throwing.

Business Studies Lecturer John Hallam said: “The students worked extremely hard and should be very proud of themselves, as they not only raised money for a worthy cause, but were also assessed as part of their course!”
The students worked in groups to plan different activities as part of their business assignment. Their events were organised over the past few weeks and involved team meetings and sending business correspondence both within the College and externally to make the necessary arrangements.
Jessica Kelf, 16, from Rochford said: “We have been face painting students to look like pudsey bear, selling sweets and pie throwing. I’m really enjoying myself”.
