Seevic College recently hosted an Adult Celebration Evening to celebrate the achievement of its adult learners. The students have successfully completed courses across a range of subjects offered at Seevic, including Accounting and Finance, Childcare, Skills for Life, Sport and Leisure and Teacher Training courses.

The Adult Celebration Evening was opened by Vice Principal of Employment & Skills, Katy Quinn, who gave a presentation to the learners and awarded them with Certificates of Achievement in front of their friends and family.

She commented: “It was a fantastic evening which provided an opportunity to recognise the achievements and successes of our adult learners. Returning to learning as an adult can be a big step, juggling family and work commitments together with study makes achievement and success all the more special.”

Representatives from each subject area were also given the opportunity to celebrate the adult success that their particular subjects had received and mention those learners who were continuing their learning by moving on to the next course level.

Event Coordinator, Victoria Morgan said: “We are extremely pleased at how well the event went and have had many positive comments from the learners saying how much they enjoyed the evening. It was great for us all to be part of such a special occasion celebrating the successes of our Adult learners.”

Seevic College endeavour to support learning and development across a wide range of subjects. Katy Quinn, who plays a key role in developing education at our sites at New Campus Basildon, said, “We will continue to look to offer relevant and cost effective solutions to support the ongoing development of adults. The expansion of Seevic within Basildon provides a second campus from which we plan to deliver adult courses. We will also continue to grow and develop our Higher Education offer, both full time and part time.”
