SCORE squad wins against international team
Squad wins 3-2
The SCORE Squad at SEEVIC College were invited to play a selection of Norwegian International Youth Team players at their training camp at Hertfordshire University...and won!

Although the squad are snowed under with games at the moment, the opportunity to pitch themselves once again against international opponents at this level was too good to miss. The invitation itself is a testimony of how well the squad have done over the last few years and the respect they enjoy in college football.
The opposition on the day were a mixture of 16,17 and 18 year olds, all capped at international level in Norway and the obvious style of their play was very reminiscent of what the SCORE squad had experienced playing on tour in Europe. There was a very patient build up with all players being very comfortable on the ball.
The players equipped themselves really well with good shape and patience forcing their Norwegian opponents to make mistakes in possession. Goals from Ricky Evans and Brad Warner gave SEEVIC College a 2-1 lead at half time. Their shape continued to be very good in the second half, not allowing their opponents any real chances. Reiss Gilbey added another goal only for the Norwegians to reply very late on, securing SCORE's 3-2 victory.
Goal scorer Ricky Evans, 19, from Basildon said “The game against Norway was a great experience. Its nice to compare yourself with players of that level. The level of football we play at on SCORE is the best level I could play at, and this has helped me play at a better level than I thought I could play outside of College”.
SCORE Academy Squad Coach Laurie Carter said, “I was really pleased with our performance overall. Our shape was excellent throughout. The opposing coaches were very complimentary of our style, organisation and level of play. The game proved to be an excellent opportunity to promote SEEVIC College football and enhance our ever-growing reputation”.
