Seevic Netball Squad celebrates success in the Superleague
After a triumphant start to the season, Seevic College's netball squad had to face the almighty Truro in their second game of the Superleague. Seevic are the only college in Essex to be invited to the Netball Superleague, facing the toughest of opponents, and Truro Sports Academy College is certainly one of them.
Despite the tough competition that they were soon to face, regular court player, Charlotte Dodd, said, "We were not prepared to fly all that way to lose." This determined attitude was evident in every Seevic player from the moment that the match started.
Seevic Netball Coach, Hannah Austin, said, “The girls played an incredible game and dominated the court from the first quarter of play. The determination and drive to win was evident even into the last quarter where fatigue was setting in. It was an outstanding performance.”
The determination that the netball players demonstrated carried them to a 39-35 win against their toughest competition yet, but they will not rest with that victory. The netball squad face Birmingham Met in their third match on 12 October. The games are progressively becoming more challenging; however, the team have tasted success and are hungry for more!
