Heart FM Breakfast Show Apprentice Alex visited SEEVIC College recently to test his skills as a Sport & Leisure Apprentice and was put through his paces to see if he would get hired or fired.

As part of National Apprenticeship Week (1 – 5 February) Alex was given tasks that form part of the Sport & Leisure Apprenticeship. The course is offered at SEEVIC College, Benfleet Campus in partnership with NOVA, Essex’s largest provider of Apprenticeships. It is aimed at those working, or who want to work, in the active leisure and learning industry; typically in gyms, coaching, leisure centres and other leisure facilities.

Alex was challenged to carry out a personal training session and interval training in Zones the SEEVIC College gym. Alex’s attempt was videoed and can be seen on the Heart Essex website during Apprenticeship Week. Listeners can guess if Alex will be successful in tasks and whether he will get ‘hired’ or ‘fired!’
