Students perform sell-out performance
The crowd give a standing ovavtion!
BTEC Performing Arts students performed their final graduation show Back to the 80’s to a sell-out audience. The show was a great success and the cast received a standing ovation from the crowd.

Audience member Tony Doveaston wrote to the College after seeing the show, he said: “What a thoroughly excellent show. We were treated to a fantastic evenings entertainment, the acting and choreography was absolutely spot on with not a single member putting a foot wrong. Very well done to everyone involved.”
The musical portrayed experiences of students in the graduating class of fictional school William Ocean High and was set to the biggest hits of the 1980’s such as Footloose, Kids in America, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Walking on Sunshine.
Tom Roff, 19, from Hullbridge who played Fergal McFerrin III in the show said: “The show went so well and the audience really made it. It was so great to perform to full audience with everyone clapping and cheering. We all worked so hard rehearsing for the show and raising money for the set, which looked amazing. This is the last show we will do at SEEVIC and it’s the best show we have ever done.”
A professional set was constructed in the SEEVIC College theatre based around the design of a Rubik’s Cube and came complete with a life-size 1980’s style car.
Audience member Jean Hardie from Benfleet said: “I really enjoyed the show and think the students did really well, the singing and dancing was great. It was lively, upbeat and funny and the car coming out of the set was a real surprise! I had a lovely evening.”
The cast and crew would like to thank everyone involved in the show that supported them in producing a sell-out performance, giving the students a well-deserved successful end to their time at SEEVIC College.
