Having successfully completed our Level 3 apprenticeship in Beauty Therapy, a previous course at the College, Corrin now studies at university alongside a part-time job.
Prior to choosing this course, Corrin knew she wanted to gain hands-on experience as well as to learn at the same time. After doing some research, she decided that an apprenticeship would be a great route.
With one day in College per week, Corrin spent the four other weekdays in her workplace. Speaking of this balance, Corrin said: "I really enjoyed the place I worked at, and I think overall it gave me a lot more confidence than what I would have had from just being in a classroom.
"I received a great deal of support from both my boss, and from the Tutors at Seevic. One came to see me in my workplace."
"I definitely think an apprenticeship is a great way to get your foot in the door of the working world. It's hard for young people to get a job with no experience, this way you can learn as well."
