The role of the Board is to agree policies and strategies of the College and to ensure it is able to monitor progress in their implementation. It also ensures the solvency of the College and the safeguarding of its assets.
The Full Board of Governors normally meets six times each year in addition to holding two conferences. Much of the work of the Governors is carried out through its sub-committees: Finance & Estates; Client Services; Human Resources; Audit; Search & Governance; Remuneration.

Two new student governors have been appointed, Cassie Phillips and Sophie King.

Two members of staff at the College were voted by employees as Staff Governors to attend the meetings. The members of staff currently in this position are Justine Selman, Head of Faculty Sciences, Care, Maths and Technology and David Slade, Subject Leader of Dance.
