Having previously been a student at The Deanes School, Rhianna chose to pursue a career in sport with our Level 3 BTEC in Sport and Exercise Science.
Why did you first decide to come to Seevic?
I first decided to attend Seevic because I wanted to progress a career in sport science. Seevic provided an extensive range of sports education when compared to other colleges within the district and achieves a high level of success for students.
What have you most enjoyed about your course here and why?
What I have enjoyed most about studying Sport and Exercise Science at Seevic is the knowledge that you gain and the variety of lesson styles. Also the wealth of experience of the teaching staff in all aspects of sports development.
What have you enjoyed most about College life?
The people I have met on my course and also the Tutors. I have also engaged in various sports that I had never before participated in.
How has life at Seevic been different to school?
At Seevic you have a higher level of independence. You are treated with greater respect when compared to school.
How have your Tutors helped to support your success?
The Tutors are always there to offer you guidance and support and are always keen to help when needed. They offer support on College work but were also a massive help when completing university applications.
What are your ambitions for the future?
In September 2015 I will be attending St Mary’s University in Twickenham to study a degree in Sport Science. My long term goal is to specialise in biomechanics and physiology which will assist sport performers in achieving their optimum potential in sport.
What advice would you offer to someone thinking of studying at Seevic?
Seevic is a fantastic College for anyone thinking of studying there. My advice would be to make sure you have an interest in what you are choosing to study because it could be the beginning of your long term career. I would also recommend that if you were to study a qualification in sport, you should play a sport for one of the College’s teams.
