Melissa Cowell

Joining Seevic from The Deanes School, Melissa discusses her time at the College and her aspirations for the future.

"I originally chose to go to Seevic as I don't live very far away and most of my friends were going there. I have really enjoyed the last two years at Seevic; I've made life long friends and the course has been really good.

"I have learnt so much about the media industry and wish to work within it someday. I preferred College to school as the environment is more fun and I studied something that I was interested in.

"During my time at Seevic, I was able to volunteer outside the College and met some great people.  Plus, I was able to explore my ideas within practice which interests me a lot more than written work.

"My tutors throughout the two years were really supportive. They are great at giving you advice from the previous jobs that they have had in the media industry and are willing to help you after you leave college in your future endeavours. My tutors have helped push me to get the grade that I really wanted and I am so grateful for their help.

"At the moment I have a part-time job that I really enjoy but I am wishing to find a job in London working within the media industry in the near future.

"I would say for anyone starting at Seevic College to choose a course or A levels that they are going to enjoy but benefit from in the future.

"Your college time should be filled with great memories and meeting people that will hopefully know for life. I wish anyone starting in the future to enjoy their time at Seevic."
