Currently studying Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Fashion Design, Hope talks about her time on the course and plans for the future.
"I think the most valuable skill I have learnt this year is to be more open minded and explore new things. My favourite part of the course was when we visited the Alexander McQueen exhibition at the V&A museum. I found it very interesting and inspriing; it wasn't like a normal exhibition, it was extremely captivating and the garments were beautiful. I will remember that exhibition in my future career.
"I think my favourite project out of the whole year has been the final major project. I based it on something that I enjoy, and have had fun being creative with this theme. I've used my own pathway which is fashion design, but in this project I got to experiment a lot more with other techniques that are new to me.
"I originally started off with the theme of Feng Shui, which is something I've never done before, and I really enjoyed researching this new area for the design.
"Next year I'm going to do a degree in Fashion Design at Arts University Bournemouth. My future plan is to be working in the fashion industry being a designer for a clothing line and travelling around the world."
