Holly Hooper, 19, managed to get a job straight after her Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business at Seevic College – and she hasn’t had to move far.
Holly is working as a Learning Coach in the college’s Business department and hopes to become a Business Teacher.
Holly, who got D*D*D* (equivalent to three A-Levels at A* grade) said she chose Seevic’s Business course because it covers everything from marketing to accountancy and she even had the chance to set up her own business.
She said: “Without all of the help, encouragement and support from my tutors at Seevic I would have not been able to achieve my final grade or even being offered to return back in September to begin a career within teaching.
“The tutors at Seevic couldn’t have done any more for me in achieving my final grade and also getting my job at the college. The tutors encouraged me to go into teaching and got me involved in helping with the Level 2 students which was a great experience.
“All the tutors are extremely encouraging and are always pushing you to achieve the top grades.”
During her time at Seevic, Holly also went on a trip to New York to tour the Federal Reserve Bank, Madison Square Gardens and the Empire State building.
She added: “Seevic is a brilliant place to study for both the educational and social aspect. They also offer a wide range of different courses to meet everyone’s needs and interests and also prepare you for your next steps in life, whether that may be university, apprenticeship or full time employment.”
